The Artist Teacher

As a member of the BU online Master of Arts in Art Education, each student will actively participate in a creative and educational experience designed to cultivate the Artist Teacher within.

So what is an Artist Teacher and why is he/she so valuable in our society?

• The Artist Teacher is passionate creator who has a thirst for knowledge and a drive for sharing his/ her experiences with students.
• The Artist Teacher believes deeply in the value and the power of art to positively influence one’s life and one’s society.
• The Artist Teacher is an open-minded thinker and is actively engaged across diverse artistic disciplines.

Ultimately, the Artist Teacher subscribes to and communicates a worldview in which art is a fundamental and relevant component of a rich and diverse society. The Artist Teacher is fundamentally important in the ongoing development and nourishment of future artists who will continue to drive that worldview.
