Shaping My Art

Great art teachers are informed and inspired in their teaching by possessing a strong personal relationship with art. It is this personal commitment to art-making and identifying as an artist first that motivates many to pursue a Master of Arts in Art Education.

As part of the Boston University online Master of Arts in Art Education program, Artist Teachers will spend time reconnecting, rejuvenating, and refueling their personal commitment and relationship with art. Through interaction with renowned faculty members, participation in an optional summer-studio program, or enrollment in one of our “chance of a lifetime” study abroad programs, students will get the opportunity to truly engage in the artist experience.

It is through this unique investment in one’s own artistic journey that Artist Teachers can effectively guide young students as they embark upon their own artistic journeys.
